I had recurrent ocular inflammation which was caused by an autoimmune condition. In order to control the inflammation, I sought western medicine treatment, which meant being on prednisolone and immunosuppressants. These medications caused side effects such as breathlessness, heart palpitations, bad sleep, dry throat, and fatigue. Thus I sought help from ICU Eye Care, where Dr Pat Lim always took the time to understand the current condition of my eyes using the range of professional equipment at her clinic. Thereafter, she was always patient in explaining her method of treatment, which entailed TCM which I found to have significantly better effect on my general wellbeing and alleviating the side effects from my western medication, than other TCM medications, which whilst cheaper, are of lower concentrated dosages. The use of TCM complements the western medication, and is highly recommended.
